Global Procurement Manager

Our client is a leading FMCG company. Currently they are seeking a highly talented Global Purchasing Manager based in Bangkok. **Key Responsibilities**: - Collaborating with the global team, drafting and implementing the Ingredients category strategy, and using strategic sourcing approach. - Participating and leading the cross-functional category team. - Managing the category on a regional level and leverage from regional scale. - Working closely with Sector & Global teams. - Developing the category annual and long-term strategic sourcing targets. - Planning and monitoring the category Productivity / Savings. - Leading the continuous improvement initiatives from procurement side for the category. - Ensuring implementation of sourcing strategy / plans, compliance monitored, and benefits tracked (in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and in line with the procurement policy & practices. - Closely liaising with business Key stakeholders in Global Foods businesses. - Selling the category strategy to business stakeholders; one focal point to represent Ingredients category internally (peer level) and externally (suppliers). - Ensuring the implementation of best-in-class sourcing tools, relevant to the category. - Leading category negotiations and manage contracts with suppliers. - Tracking the supply market, sharing the evolving category trends, monitoring the supplier performance, and sharing the benchmarking against industry / market standards. **Qualifications**: - Minimum of 10+ years experience in a senior Procurement Category Management position. - Proven technical procurement category knowledge of to ensure the continued adoption and use of best practice approaches. - Sound knowledge of supply market fundamentals. - Preferred CIPSA or CPIM supply chain qualification highly desirable. - Proven influencing skills to positively impact complex negotiations. - Excellent balance of analytical & negotiation skills. - Contract writing / risk analysis / liabilities and indemnities / SLAs / and general commercial terms. - Sound understanding of SAP and P2P Governance and Controls. - Able to communicate business strategies to suppliers as well as internal stakeholders. - Effective people leader including ability to lead cross functional teams. - Track record of being able to drive cross-functional support and resources for projects to deliver results on time. - Effective project manager who is able to articulate and escalate hurdles quickly and keep driving the projects forward. - Strong collaboration/matrix management. - Understands and manages key business drivers. - High integrity: wont compromise values to get results.
