Technical Support Engineer

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide both onsite and remote technical support, troubleshooting, and commissioning for solar energy systems. You will take full ownership of customer issues, deliver technical training, and offer consultation on system design. Collaborating closely with suppliers and internal teams is essential to resolve technical problems and stay up to date with new technologies. Flexibility to work beyond regular hours is expected. 

What You Will Do:

  • Provide technical support services, including troubleshooting, system commissioning, and handling warranty claims.

  • Deliver both onsite and remote (Online) support for commissioning and troubleshooting of solar systems.

  • Conduct online and offline testing and commissioning of solar systems to ensure proper performance and configuration.

  • Take full ownership of customer-reported issues, working through to resolution in a timely and effective manner.

  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve software/hardware issues.

  • Follow standard operating procedures to escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams

  • Communicate clearly with clients via phone, email, or chat, providing accurate and concise technical instructions.

  • Deliver technical training sessions and presentations to customers to enhance their product understanding and system operation.

  • Provide consultation to customers for system design.

  • Collaborate and follow-up technical issues with suppliers and partners.

  • Collaborate with suppliers and partners to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment on technical standards.

  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers to share updates on new products and technology.

  • Be available to support business needs during holidays or outside normal working hours when required.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Power Engineering (electrical engineering license is an advantage).

  • 2-3 years of experience in technical engineering support, preferably in the solar industry.

  • Solid understanding of solar systems, with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

  • Good command of English communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Good interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, customers, and suppliers.
