Every function within the team has a well-defined career track with clear goals and development targets each step of the way. **The Opportunity**: The Head of Banking is a managerial position with headcount responsibility on Agodas treasury team and is a senior member of the Finance Department. In this role, you will help deliver game-changing initiatives that transform the way in which Agoda pays, collects and manages money. This role could also be from time to time expected to engage with regulators and/or central banks to clarify country-specific account requirements; will work internally with Agodas payment and product teams to create and optimize fund flow structures; and will consult with Agodas legal and tax departments to inform decision-making where banking issues arise. This role provides direct input for defining our banking strategy together with the Treasury team. The role will be comfortable operating in relative isolation and without much guidance; should possess knowledge around international banking regulations; and would be able to learn Agodas operating model and business units worldwide in relatively quick order. **In this Role, youll get to**: - Manage global relationships with core partner banks of Booking Holdings, Inc. - Collaborate with Finance (e.g. Payments, Collections, Controllership etc.) and non-Finance stakeholders (e.g. Product, Legal, Strategic Partnership etc.) to design and implement necessary banking processes and infrastructure to support new product initiatives - Enhance Agodas global banking capabilities and optimize BAU finance operations that contain banking touch points - in accordance with industry best practices. - Deliver optimal bank account structure for all Agoda entities and create efficient fund flow models to support business and treasury requirements. - Oversee Agodas trade finance activities (e.g. BGs, SBLCs etc.) to satisfy business requirements. - Assess finance and regulatory implications and legal requirements of Agodas offerings to supply partners and customers. - Whenever required, present business cases to banking regulators in different markets to obtain permits and approvals required to enable payment solutions relevant to the business. - Mentor and develop staff to support the daily operations of the Banking team and scale team to meet organizational needs **What youll Need to Succeed**: - Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or related discipline; MBA or masters degree qualification is a plus. - 8+ years of experience in corporate treasury, and / or corporate banking, such as RM or cash management (Product or Sales). - Solid interpersonal skills - ability to lead and influence decisions within a multi-disciplined finance organization and to interact with external counterparties, such as banking partners, regulators etc. - A high degree of self-starter mindset, accountability, resilience and critical thinking capability is expected. **Its Great if you have**: - A combination of corporate banking and corporate treasury experience. - A good understanding of internet technologies, online travel, and credit card schemes. - Specific experience with FIS Quantum, JPM ACCESS, CitiDirect, HSBC.net singapore #manila #shanghai #kualalumpur #hongkong **Equal Opportunity Employer** At Agoda, we pride ourselves on being a company represented by people of all different backgrounds and orientations.
