JOB DUTIES:
Contribute to product design such that the final product is optimized to allow reliable and efficient testing.
Development of the full solution to deliver test systems for both manufacturing tests and product development tests. This will comprise electronics, software, and mechanical deliverables.
Verification that test systems meet the requirements agreed in the test system specification.
Capture/document relevant knowledge relating to the design of test systems delivered.
Ensure all production systems have the correct documentation and maintenance procedures to meet system uptime requirements.
Support manufacturing engineers and other test engineers to solve issues with existing production test systems.
Work with project leaders and the NPI Lead to prioritize workload.
Work closely with project leaders to define, track and ensure completion of production test objectives.
Develop action plans to characterize and mitigate high risks due to new test techniques, technologies, and materials.
Work to standardise the test system architectures, systems, and tools that are provided to the manufacturing team.
Collaborate with other team members to peer review and for other design reviews.
Assist in establishing standards for Design for test and lead the definition of test system requirements for NPD projects.
Contribute to a continuous improvement culture seeking improvement opportunities in the technologies, tools, and processes used in the development of products and test systems.
Proactively identify improvement opportunities for existing test systems through your own observations or by monitoring data generated from production tools.
Keep abreast of modern test system development methods & practices.
Program, test and de-bug software
Create and execute test & acceptance plan.
Program machine user interface in MS windows environment
Program sequence of industrial machinery in PLC
Design and program database for registration of RFID data
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Electronic/Mechatronics) equivalent or higher qualification.
5+ years experience in Product Development and manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly and test.
Skilled in using computers as a productivity tool.
Experienced in operating Digital Storage Oscilloscopes
Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical circuit schematic diagrams
Proficient in identifying PCA components
PLC programming knowledge
Database SQL knowledge
Lab view & Test stand programming knowledge
Skilled in soldering and rework techniques
Detail-oriented approach in executing soldering and rework tasks
Good spoken and written English language skills
