Job Summary:
We are seeking a commercially driven and detail-oriented Merchandising Manager to oversee the end-to-end merchandising strategy for imported lifestyle brands. This role requires a hybrid of strategic and operational excellence—combining buying, sales and inventory analysis, importation planning, trend forecasting, and consumer understanding to drive brand performance and profitability across channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Buying & Merchandise
· Lead seasonal buying process in alignment with global brand direction and local market potential, and open-to-buy (OTB) planning aligned with sales and inventory target
· Develop merchandising plans, product assortment, and pricing strategy for each channel (retail, wholesale, online).
· Partner with global brand teams and local stakeholders to ensure timely ordering and product availability.
· Maintain accurate and timely PO creation and product master data in internal systems.
Sales, Inventory & Product Performance
· Monitor sales performance, sell-through rates, margin, and inventory KPIs regularly to optimize assortment and improve ROI.
· Conduct in-depth sales and merchandise performance analysis to identify opportunities, and risks.
· Recommend actions and further execution e.g. markdowns, replenishment, and in-season adjustments based on data insights.
· Manage inventory flow between warehouse and stores to meet consumer demand and avoid over/under-stocking.
Import & Logistics Coordination
· Collaborate with principal, supply chain, warehouse teams to manage inbound stock and minimize delays or excess inventory, and coordinate with finance on payment planning
· Work closely with logistics team to track shipments, handle import documentation, and ensure timely product availability.
· Understand end-to-end logistics process including shipping terms, customs clearance, cost breakdown, and expense monitoring.
Consumer & Market Insight
· Analyze consumer behavior, competitor landscape, and seasonal trends to influence product selection and pricing strategy.
· Align product strategy with brand storytelling and local market preferences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Partner with retail and operations teams to support store-level product needs and inventory movement.
· Work with finance for budget planning, forecasting, and reporting requirements.
· Coordinate closely with marketing to align product stories with campaigns, seasonal launches, campaign activations, and promotions,
· Support planning for product launches, campaign calendar, and in-store activities.
· Prepare seasonal product briefs and conduct training for retail teams
· Align with VM team on floor plan layouts, product placement, and seasonal display strategies.
· Ensure VM execution meets brand guidelines and supports sell-through objectives.
· Ensure new arrivals, key items, and hero products are properly presented and meet brand guidelines to drive sales and storytelling.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years' experience in merchandising, preferably with imported brands.
· Strong experience in buying, inventory planning, sales analysis, and cross-border logistics.
· Experience working with international brands and suppliers is a plus.
· Highly analytical with advanced Excel and data interpretation skills.
· Comfortable working across departments and managing multiple stakeholders.
· Passionate about consumer trends, fashion/lifestyle culture, and retail business.
· Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Thai.
Nice to Have:
· Hands-on knowledge of retail systems (POS, ERP), Excel, Vlook Up and Power BI.
