Key Responsibilities1. Research and Trend Analysis
Stay updated on current fashion trends, materials, and technologies in the bag and accessories industry.
Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences and analyze competitor products.
2. Conceptualization and Design
Generate creative and innovative ideas for new product designs.
Develop sketches, mood boards, and design concepts to effectively communicate ideas.
Balance functionality, aesthetics, and market demands in each design.
3. Material Selection
Source and select appropriate fabrics, leathers, trims, and hardware for designs.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure availability and quality of materials.
4. Technical Drawings and Specifications
Create detailed technical drawings and specifications (tech packs) for manufacturers.
Ensure all designs meet industry standards and can be executed in production.
5. Prototype Development
Collaborate with sample makers and manufacturers to develop prototypes.
Review, test, and adjust prototypes for practicality, durability, and user experience.
6. Collaboration & Production Support
Work with production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of designs.
Support quality checks and provide design solutions during the production process.
Align product development with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure market readiness.
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Design, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in designing bags or accessories (preferred).
Strong creativity with a solid understanding of fashion and lifestyle trends.
Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent).
Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes.
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
